How to book a train ticket in 'indian railway' (multiple options)


Booking an Indian Railway train ticket can be done online, via mobile apps, or at railway stations. Here's a step-by-step guide for each method:


✅ Method 1: Online (IRCTC Website)

Steps:

1. Go to IRCTC website.

2. Register/Login:

New users: Click on Register to create an account.

Existing users: Login with your username and password.

3. Plan Your Journey:

Enter From (departure station), To (destination), and Journey Date.

Click on Search.

4. Choose Train:

You'll see a list of available trains.

Choose your class (Sleeper, 3AC, 2AC, etc.) and click on Check Availability & Fare.

5. Book the Ticket:

Click Book Now for your preferred train and class.

6. Enter Passenger Details:

Name, Age, Gender, Berth Preference, etc.

Enter ID proof details (e.g., Aadhar, PAN).

7. Make Payment:

Choose from options like UPI, Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking.

8. Ticket Confirmation:

You'll receive an e-ticket via email/SMS.

You can print it or show the SMS during travel.
